T - Shock

in Breaking Dawn book there is a scene where Bella is on the phone with Carlisle, they think she is pregnant and when she tells Edward he gets in shock and freezes for a moment there...he later gets out of the shock and asks CArlisle "Is it possible?" ...okay, so now I just decided to make his shock last longer...through Bella´s pregnancy and Nessie´s birth...why is he dressed like that? Cuz Nessie made him his dress up doll....
